Ottawa-CTVNewsOttawa.ca looks at some unique destinations within two hours of the capital region this winter.

The Dome is located at Lac Superieur in Que, 160 kilometers from Ottawa.

"Experience a unique romantic experience in a dome under the stars," said the listing on Airbnb. "Relax in a private 4-season spa surrounded by coniferous forests and birdsong."

Each dome is equipped with a large bed, a fully equipped bathroom and a functional kitchen. It features a shared fire pit, hiking trails and indoor gas fireplace.

Dome the Lair by the Water is located in Brownsburg, Quebec, 125 kilometers from Ottawa.

The listing on Airbnb says: "This dome is located on a land bordering water, providing you with a unique 180-degree view of a beautiful wild lake." "A true wildlife sanctuary, where you can live in nature Observe a variety of animals in the environment, including beavers, turtles and Quiscales."

The solar wood-burning dome, designed for 12 months a year, can comfortably accommodate four people. It includes a large bed and two single bunk beds in front of large windows, as well as indoor and outdoor fireplace spaces. The tree house has space for two people, an indoor fireplace and a hot tub.

Located in Saint-Faustin-Lac-Carre, Quebec, 164 kilometers from Ottawa.

The Airbnb listing shows that the Terra Perma Treehouse is one of the tallest cabins ever built in Canada.

The tree house can accommodate four guests.

Located in Wakefield, Quebec, 30 kilometers from Ottawa.

"Exode Nature Sanctuary provides a unique experience and stunning views of the Ottawa Mountains," said the listing on Airbnb.

"This luxury tented accommodation offers comfortable heating space, with a large bed, dining table, kitchenette, stove and outdoor campfire."

The small house has spaces for two guests, and there is a private place for an outdoor bonfire on the grounds. This small house is a two-minute walk from the parking lot.

Airbnb's list says there is no running water or electricity.

Located in Mountain Grove, Ontario, 136 kilometers from Ottawa.

"Mason Cabin is located on 576 acres of pristine land in Frontenac Spur in the Canadian Shield, where it humblely overlooks a secluded lake with expansive wilderness views," says the Cabinscape website.

"Hiking along the wide trails provided by the property, meandering through forests, meadows, beaver ponds and wetlands."

The Mason hut sleeps two people.
